Module 3: Controling Risk
Module 4: Understanding Your Responsibilities
Module 5: Identifying Hazards
Module 6: Investigating Accidents and Incidents
Module 7: Measuring Performance
Module 8: Protecting the Environment
Candidates will learn:-
To define hazards and risks
Implement schedules for active monitoring and analyse records
Health and Safety legislation / Codes of Practice
Active monitoring (Inspections, Checks and Audits)
Procedures and techniques used in management reviews
To conduct accident and incident investigation
The course will also cover the main provisions of Health and Safety at work incorporating the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations.
At the conclusion of the course delegates are required to undertake a multi-format assessment. Delegates must also complete a project and return it to the tutor within 10 days of the course completion date.
On successful completion of this course, delegates will have an understanding of the legal requirements for risk assessment and be able to identify hazards both generally and from their organisation's perspective.
Successful candidates will receive the prestigious IOSH Managing Safely Certificate.

This is a 4 day course with project work for candidates to complete outside the course work and exam.
